Craig Hollander, DDS

President

Dr. Craig Hollander is a pediatric dentist who has been involved with GKAS since its inception. He also assisted with the development of the Tiny Smiles Program for infants and toddlers. He continues to strive to improve access to dental care for children everywhere in Missouri.

Tyler Crews, DMD

Vice President

Dr. Tyler Crews has been a general dentist since 2013. He has a private practice located in Webster Groves. He understands that access to dental care for those who need it most is a huge problem. Give Kids a Smile organization is a passion for Dr. Crews as it strives to solve this problem in St. Louis.

Kelly Jobe, DDS

Secretary/Treasurer

Kelly Jobe is a St. Louis native and Pediatric Dentist. She’s been volunteering with Give Kids a Smile since before attending dental school. She loves helping kids achieve a beautiful smile. When not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Courtney Ethington, DMD, MSD

MEMBER AT LARGE

Dr. Courtney Ethington is a board certified orthodontist. She was born and raised in a small town in central Kentucky and obtained her undergraduate and dental degree from the University of Kentucky, GO CATS! She moved to St. Louis in 2017 and fell in love with the midwest while obtaining orthodontic training at St. Louis University. She loves being an orthodontist where she can interact with wonderful patients everyday all while creating beautiful smiles.Outside of the office, Dr. Ethington loves to travel, hike, ski, cook, try new restaurants, and spend time with her husband, Phillip, and their dog, George.

Mary Gan

MEMBER AT LARGE

Mary Gan started her career in dentistry as a dental assistant over 22 years ago. She is currently the Practice Administrator at Healthy Smiles of Saint Louis. Her first GKAS clinic was in 2010, after beginning to work with Dr. Flavin (former GKAS President). Prior to joining the Board. Mary has served GKAS as a lead volunteer and dynamic fundraiser. She feels very fortunate to work alongside many amazing dental professionals and community volunteers and extremely honored to be on the GKAS Board.

Michael J. Hoffmann, DDS, FACD, FICD, FAGD, FADSA

Member At Large

Dr. Michael J. Hoffmann received his dental degree in 1988 from The University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio. He has also completed residencies in Hospital Dentistry and Dental Anesthesiology. Dr. Hoffmann is very active in organized dentistry. He is a past President and current Treasurer of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society and a member and chairman of various committees at the state and national level. Dr. Hoffmann enjoys CrossFit training, researching the Paleo Lifestyle, hunting, boating, and barbecuing in his spare time. He resides in Kirkwood, Missouri, with his wife and four children.

Jon Jennings

MEMBER AT LARGE

Jon Jennings is the chief actuary and vice president at Delta Dental of Missouri, and currently directs all aspects of underwriting, actuarial, client reporting and project management. Mr. Jennings has more than 15 years of experience in the dental and vision benefits industry. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries

Romana Mueller, EdD, MSDH, BA, CEPH, RDH

MEMBER AT LARGE

Dr. Romana Muller is an associate professor at A.T. Still University’s Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH). Dr. Muller holds a Bachelor in Healthcare Management degree from Webster University, a Master in Dental Hygiene from Eastern Washington University, a Certificate in Public Health and a Doctorate in Education in Healthcare Professions from A.T. Still University. She is the director of the grant-funded project “In Any Language, Improving Oral Health Translates into Better Lives”, and the recipient of the 2022 ATSU Underserved Community Scholarly Improvement grant. Dr. Muller is passionate about improving patient-provider communication and removing language barriers to dental care access. Since joining the board of the St. Louis Give Kids a Smile organization in 2023, she has worked diligently on improving access to linguistically appropriate care for children and their parents attending the free biannual dental clinic.

Danielle M. Riordan, DDS

MEMBER AT LARGE

Dr. Riordan is a General dentist in St. Peters, MO who practices with her father at Family Dentistry of St. Peters. Dr. Riordan has been active with GKAS-STL since 2002, first as a volunteer, then as a dental student, and now as a board member. She enjoys not only giving back to the community through the program, but also working with dental students instilling that same passion of giving back to them. Aside from GKAS, Dr. Riordan plays an active role in the organized dental community holding leadership positions with in the local component, state, and national levels.

Mike Smoljan, DDS, MS

Member At Large

Dr. Mike Smoljan grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University School of Dentistry and continued on to complete an Endodontic residency and earn a Master’s of Science degree at Marquette.He was published in the Journal of Endodontics in June 2020 and is committed to learning and implementing the latest technology and techniques to help patients save their natural teeth. In 2024, Dr. Mike became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Mike and his wife Annie, have two boys, John and Tommy.

Tiffani Dickey, RDH

Member At Large

Tiffani Dickey is a dedicated registered dental hygienist with a passion for pediatric dentistry. Since 2012, she has been actively volunteering with the Give Kids A Smile (GKAS) program, believing that every child deserves access to quality dental care. She is committed to creating positive dental experiences for young patients and promoting lifelong oral health. In her spare time, Tiffani enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, hitting the golf course, and always looks forward to their next travel adventure.

Kourtenay Green, DDS

Executive Director

Dr. Kourtenay Green holds a Bachelor of Science from Jackson State University in Biology, a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry, and many years of experience as a dental professional and nonprofit executive. Her passions lie in dentistry, health education, public health, and of course, serving children, their caregivers, and their support systems. Dr. Green is overly excited about leading the GKAS team into its future while preserving its history and roots.

Thomas C. Flavin, DDS

I am a father, grandfather, husband, coach servant, and passionate dental professional dedicated to providing comprehensive care and education to the Greater St. Louis community’s under-resourced children. I am inspired every day by these precious children, the generosity of our volunteers, and the dedication of our board members. I am proud to be a founding member of GKAS and I am blessed to have worked with so many wonderful, caring people.

Jeffrey B. Dalin, DDS

Dr. Dalin is a general dentist in Creve Coeur. He started working with his father after graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1980 and now is practicing with his son and nephew. Jeff has been involved with St. Louis Give Kids A Smile since its inception back in 2001. He has also served on the advisory board of the American Dental Association Give Kids A Smile Program since they adopted GKAS as their national children’s dental access program back in 2002. One day, he hopes to see all children have access to dental care on a routine basis. Their dental health will be much better…they will be able to pay attention in school…they will have better self-esteem…they will eat and sleep better…they will no longer have to suffer with dental pain.

Anthony Marino , DDS

I have been practicing  General Dentistry in St Louis since 1982. I received a B.A. in Biology  at St Louis University.  I attended UMKC School of Dentistry and did a rigorous General Practice Residency at The Jewish Hospital of St Louis. I am an active member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association,  the Greater St Louis Dental Society and a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and the International College of Dentistry. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, fishing, hiking, and coaching soccer.
